As Wolves head coach Flip Saunders continues to battle Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which was announced about a month ago, Wolves lead assistant Sam Mitchell is reportedly set to take over as head coach on an interim basis.
This was first reported by Yahoo Sports insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

He followed up with some optimism.

A press conference regarding a “major announcement” will be held at the Target Center tomorrow morning at 10 am. While the exact details of the presser haven’t been revealed, it’s assumed that the temporary coaching decision will be the topic.
